Dynamis PLC was formed in 1995 as a web publishing business to complement the publication “Businesses and Premises for Sale”.
Our first web title, BusinessesForSale.com, originally operated as a free bulletin board service and acted as an extension to the magazine.
The website flourished with the dot com boom of the late 90s and the magazine ceased publication in 1998. By the summer of 1999 the site had become the largest global database of businesses for sale spanning over 100 countries and attracting many thousands of buyers and sellers daily.
In March 2000, £1.7m of angel funding was raised to commercially develop BusinessesForSale.com and other related web titles in the B2B sector.
Launched in December 2001, FranchiseSales.com helps franchisors recruit genuine franchisees. The site hosts over 1,400 franchise opportunities across the globe.
In 2006, Dynamis officially celebrated 10 years online. Both BusinessesForSale.com and FranchiseSales.com successfully navigated a period that many other websites could not. This is a testament to the company and a reflection that Dynamis was able to successfully leverage online media to connect business entrepreneurs.
The last two years have seen the company expand dramatically – company size and output have more than tripled. New titles including BusinessWings.co.uk, a resource for anyone thinking of starting a business, and BusinessOpportunities.com, the business opportunities marketplace, have been launched; existing titles have been reworked as we constantly develop our technologies to suit our target marketplaces.
We are a privately held company located in central London. As well as our online publishing arm we have recently ventured into print publishing with The Book of Business Inspiration and subscription-based M&A business opportunity magazine, The Mid Market Exchange.
In addition to this, Dynamis provides a range of online technical services. Our technical expertise has placed us at the forefront of providing online classification services with search engine optimisation to our clients. We provide fully managed solutions that power online classifieds sections to websites such as FT.com, Reed.co.uk, AMEinfo.com and Fish4.co.uk; thereby realising the online publishing objectives of many other media companies as well as our own.
