PRESS RELEASE
1 Jan 2007---BEGINS---
Online media group Dynamis plc, publishers of BusinessesForSale.com, has engaged digital communications agency, The Guild, to create a 'business for sale exchange' in Second Life. The exchange will allow Second Life citizens to buy and sell their Second Life business ventures for real money.
"Owners looking to sell their business have the same problem in Second Life as in real life when trying to locate a buyer and we want to make that process easier," says Dynamis Chairman Marcus Markou. "We will be directly contributing to the Second Life environment by adding this valuable service to Second Life entrepreneurs," he adds.
There are now thousands of businesses operating in Second Life, from clothes and shoe shops, to bars and furniture stores. Second Life entrepreneurs will now be able to realise the value of their ventures.
The island, called Business Exchange, will be completed in March. It will cost as little as 250 Linden Dollars per week to advertise a Second Life business opportunity (that’s about 50 pence per week). The Business Exchange will also feature meeting rooms, an exhibition hall and a networking zone where Second Life entrepreneurs can meet, exchange ideas and strike deals.
"Not everyone has the time to develop and build their own Second Life business," says The Guild Director, Kaoru Sato. "The Business Exchange will give people a unique opportunity to buy a ready-made Second Life business," he adds.
