BUSINESS BUYER NUMBERS ARE GROWING IN THE UK
BusinessesForSale.com, the online global marketplace for buying and selling businesses, has announced record traffic figures and usage during the usually flat summer months of June and July.
"We are not seeing the usual seasonal quiet period. Far from it – we have experienced a significant increase in traffic as well as registered business buyers and sellers using the site," says BusinessesForSale.com Manager Faye Bulman.
Spurned on by TV programmes such as ‘The Apprentice’, ‘Dragons’ Den’ and ‘Risking It All’, Britain’s workforce are searching for something better – sick of doing someone else’s work, they want to quit the rat race and become their own boss.
A recent survey, commissioned by BusinessesForSale.com reveals that 55.4% of the users on the site are looking for a business to buy for those very reasons.
In addition, 60% of users would be willing to relocate in the UK and 34% would be happy to move overseas for the right business opportunity. Therefore, people are more prepared than ever before to move to realise their dreams – not just within the UK, but to foreign climes such as Spain, Australia and Canada.
This increased entrepreneurial spirit has resulted in more people looking to make radical changes to their lives and it is thriving like never before. This is reflected in year on year activity within the marketplace rising once again, as more businesses continue to be started, bought and sold.
The Government is involved too – channelling a lot of energy and money into the business transfer market with entrepreneurs following suit.
Many business buyers also see the internet as their key resource throughout the business buying process using BusinessesForSale.com for research, advice and for finding the business opportunity they are searching for.
