Web pioneer scoops award
BusinessesForSale.com, a website that helped pioneer internet commerce in the mid 90s, has won the award for Best Small Business Service Provider 2010..
Start Your Business Magazine chose the world’s largest online directory of businesses opportunities for its innovative approach, high-quality customer service and ease of use.
BusinessesForSale.com, which with 55,000 business opportunities outstrips its nearest competitors by some margin, impressed a judging panel of small-business experts and entrepreneurs.
Explaining their decision to choose the 15-year-old website, a spokesperson for Start Your Business Magazine says: “BusinessesForSale.com has demonstrated excellence across the board and the panel felt that the company was a very deserving winner in light of the first-rate service they provide.”
Brothers Marcus and Andrew Markou are the founders of Dynamis, the online media group which operates BusinessesForSale.com along with FranchiseSales.com and PropertySales.com, among other websites. They attribute their success to putting technology at the heart of the business, being in the vanguard of the latest digital innovation and having an overarching vision.
On being presented the accolade by Start Your Business Magazine, chairman Marcus Markou says:
